Week 9: Telling a story

I ended up with this photo but I’m not incredibly happy with it. If I were to improve this shot I think I need to focus more on what the hero of this shot needs to be. I think the composition may be too busy and my lighting may be too harsh.

For my second round of shooting I took out a lot of my background props, diffused the light a bit more, and brought my key light a bit more to the side.

    Simplifying your composition really improved it.

    We talked briefly about white balance. You can do a custom white balance by following the directions in the manual for your camera with a white piece of computer paper. You need to get rid of the yellow cast.

    Did you do an overhead shot?
