On the left, I cropped and edited the saturation of the image. I first cropped in more closer to the couple. I adjusted the clarity to make the midtowns brighter. In addition, I felt like the original on the right was very warm toned so I went to the temperature and pulled it towards the left to make it cooler. I also played with the contrast a little bit.
This photograph is also a great picture because I can imagine the huge contrast if taken during the night or morning. Perhaps it would be emptier. It is also a great angle of the steps. I think this is a great photo because of the action in it. I wonder if taken at a different time of day, would the environment be mellow or slow. In this picture, you see a lot of still motion. This picture captures great contrast from the direct light creating the shadow of the building. I think if captured when the backlight (the sky) is dark, the screens lights would then brighten up the street/sidewalk more. I love this image because there is so much being captured so beautifully. The sky looks great, especially how the sunlight hits the building. Yet, all the buildings are clear. You can even see how the motion of the smoke is being captured. And finally, you get this direct focus on the panda in front.
