Google may be the easiest form of “dictionary” to everything and can have many shortcuts to finding and researching things. Does it mean you’re lazy? I disagree in a way that google is very useful nowadays to finding direction to storing documents. Throughout the article Nicholas Carr gave valid reasons and example one of his first one he used was that the knowledge people have when they need an answer in the instant many are not able because they are used to have google do it for them and lack attention. He stated “They found that people using the sites exhibited “a form of skimming activity” hopping from one source to another and rarely returning to any source they’d already visited.” This quote proves his belief that with google we do not pay attention nor learn because there is so much different information from different sites. Nicholas Carr also talked about early technology and what google was before when it was created the idea of a big search engine.
