Is google making us stupid ?

In the article “ Is google making us stupid” the author is introducing to the why’s google is responsible for our way of obtaining information. As far as we are in this century everyone uses the web for everything, there’s no much critical thinking because all we know is google.
Our learning process, the ability to research the solution to our academic problems has been interrupted by one simple wide expectation of a direct fast answer. In the text the author confess that google save him time “ For more than a decade now, I’ve been spending a lot of time online , searching and sometimes adding to the the great databases of the internet, the web has been a godsend to me as a writer.’’
As the author thinks that google is a quick way of getting information but he also thinks that the internet has altered his mental habits. Reading and writing has become more difficult , there are too many sources of information to rely on , it confuses the mind. The type of information we think is resourceful can be deceptive.Google is a great way to get your answers from but sometimes we rely on it too much and forget to think for ourselves. One big negative on google search engine is that results often vary in quality and it is up to the researcher to determine which of the results are suitable for their purposes.
