Problem 1: Racism

Racism has been a problem in the world for hundreds of years and it’s a big problem with big events which is what I might want to research. Behind racism, there are many important events and political leaders that people need to learn about. I want to research the racism that African Americans went through and are still going through as well as some other groups of people who are the victim of racism like Asian Americans and Hispanics. I want to write about racism because it’s something that I want to write about and it’ll be like a way for me to speak about a huge issue in the world. Black history is a common topic in today’s schools but most schools that I know of based on my cousins mostly teach them about the popular events and leaders that are in black history so I want to dig deeper and find the underrated events and people to talk about them. I might not have much luck with finding a lot of underrated events and people since many articles talk about the big events and people but there should be some special ones that talk more about the underrated parts.

Problem 2: Food Security

The first time I heard about food security in America, I’m going to be honest, I was surprised. I thought that America didn’t have any problems with food because in my country it was made to seem like the richest and greatest place in the world. Even though it is quite amazing there are also many bad parts about it as well but I’m grateful to be here nonetheless. I personally thought that food was a problem in 3rd world countries and as you can see from my last text I don’t know much about food security. This is why I want to research food security so I could learn more about it and write about it to show my understanding of the topic. But what I do know is that food security is a growing problem that grows with the population. It’s estimated that the world population will grow to 9 billion people by 2050 which means we have to produce more food for all these people and honestly, I don’t know how they’re going to do it. But if the population reaches up to 9 billion people then there are going to be a huge number of people who aren’t going to be able to get food which will just make the problem bigger than it is today in America and all over the world.
