"Game On, Python!"

Emmanuel-Dragon

It was on a sunny afternoon when Juny woke from a nap he took, everything all of a sudden looked different to him as to how he woke up to a sunny afternoon in the winter season.  Glaring through his kitchen, Juny knew he had something he said he was going to cook for dinner when he woke from his nap. As he approached the kitchen, something caught his attention that the food he had in mind to prepare for dinner has been stolen not by anyone because Juny lives in a very small village called Ashanti. It then came to his realizations that either an animal came through and took the meat he had or one of his neighbors’ miles away sneaked up on him and took the meat whiles he was napping. It then got to a point where he had to make a decision to either look for the missing meat he struggled to get his hands-on during this coldness. “In this very cold weather, no human can walk and sneak up on me,” Juny said looking very frustrated as to how the ideas of haunting for new meat were tiring. He decided to just go the night without not eating, during the night was when he started thinking about the next idea he was going to use to get him meat the next day to two.

Suddenly an idea about how his father DD thought him about haunting during winter started to play like a movie in his sleep. The idea he had required two people playing along to make it work out, it was when he decided to reach out to the neighbor he already accused of stealing his meat. Knowing it would be hard to trust the miles away neighbor, Juny who has lived by himself for almost a decade decided to try it out by himself, and unfortunately, it didn’t go as he taught it would. Whiles laying in bed and thinking about his next meal, he had an idea to reach out to his neighbor and give it a try. “That is going to be a 50 50 idea but you never know if you never try something new out,” Juny said softly. He started packing all the necessary things that would be required for them to use for the haunting because he did not have it in his mind to return back and get the tools they might need even if his neighbor said yes or no considering the miles between them. The neighbor decided on the plan because most of the people in the village of Ashanti saw Juny as one of the greatest hunters to ever live in their village, he explained the whole idea to the neighbor and they carried on to the forest to search for their meal. Unfortunately for them, they were able to pull 8 meals with the idea Juny brought up giving them enough food to push them through for a longer period of time. When Juny got home from his hunting, he decided to make a fence to protect his meat from any second hand aside from him.

This could be good because Juny has to make a lot of choices as he first goes to find the neighbor and then they together figure out what happened and what to do about it. What I don’t get a good sense of, however, is the main character himself — is he selfish, kind, wary of his circumstances, fearful, brave… What are the characteristics he has to battle against in order to go on this quest and learn about himself in the process?
