GROUP ASSIGNMENTS:

Group Activity (25 min). 

Get into your groups, and take 25 minutes to complete the following steps:

1.  Choose one person in your group to be the host.

HOST REQUIREMENTS:

  • Share screen.
  • Use Google Docs.

2. The host should open the Bridges and Walking Tours assignment, and share their screen so that the group can see.

3. Each group member should tell the group (verbally, or in chat) about the puzzles they created in the Bridges and Walking Tours assignment. The host can help out by showing puzzles on the shared screen. What makes a puzzle hard? Easy? Impossible?

4.  The group should create three new puzzles, as tricky as possible (try to stump Prof. Reitz!), either using sketchtoy.com or creating a new drawing within the

5. The host should open the 10/12 working space (Google Doc). Record your group members’ names, and the three puzzles your group created (to include a puzzle, either give links to sketchtoy.com, or draw on paper and upload a photograph, or draw directly in the Google Doc by using the “Insert Drawing” menu item).

Group work due after 25 minutes:  Each group will record their work in the 10/12 working space (Google Doc), including the names of the groups members and the three new puzzles created by the group.  You do not need to submit solutions, but you do need to be able to solve the puzzles on request.

Reflection:  To be completed individually after group work is complete, and submitted via the form below.  Take 5 minutes to write on the following prompt:

Briefly reflect on the process of working in a group by responding to each of these points:
1.  Describe something you learned.
2.  Describe something you contributed to the group.
3.  How did today’s work change your understanding of the bridges and walking tours game?
