While reading the article “I Just Wanna Be Average” By: Mike Rose a quote that stood out to me was ” But mostly teachers had no idea of how to engage the imagination of us kids who were scuttling along at the bottom of the pond.” I found this quote to be very relatable in the experiences I’ve had in school settings. I’ve often felt like this with a couple of my teachers through out the years. I often felt like they didn’t really care to have us engaged in there classroom. Most of them didn’t really take the time to interact with us or make the class interesting they just taught straight out of a textbook. Which often made me feel like I was rewatching live lectures more than me being in one.

Naomi,
I still love this post! I think I read it on the other board and commented on it there?
Sincerely,
