In the field trip to the UFT printing lab, we met the production manager, Oscar Rivera. He introduced that the lab is in charge of printing paper works for public school and the UFT newsletter. The lab had the printers for many jobs. What impressive me the most is the machine of folding paper and putting paper into the envelope. I receive mails almost every day, but I never thought about such a machine. It works really fast. But if still needs a man to work with it. We also saw the Epson Stylus Pro 9800 machine. It is for printing the large billboards. Mr. Rivera also introduced the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000, which is the only one in the east coast. And the prices of the machines are very high. Overall, this field trip is really helpful and interesting.
