Being trusted to Performs Leadership Roles

In organizations every employee is different, from followers to leaders. Every person has their own point of view on how things should be done, what is the appropriate thing to do, and when to trust someone. When an employee is new in a workplace it can be a little stressful just to adjust to the environment the new people who work there. But when the employee has his/her ambitions on what would like to reach, there might be nothing impossible. It might take its time but it will be reached.
One of the reason why it can takes time to get where employee would like to reach or be is because of being a new employee. It takes time to make people trust the new employee, specially the leaders and managers. When the new employee gets the flow of the job, engage with the other coworkers, has a good performs, that is when the new employee should start to pull out his\her personal goal on where he\she wants to be within the company.
I tried to start writing this paper with what I have just said because that is the same situation I have been going through and I think a lot of people have been in my shoes. When I first started working in my current locations, it was a little awkward because almost everyone in the location have been here for years and here I come, new and from a different back grown trying to adjust to their rules, style, and atmosphere. With my personal goal to make the best out of my tasks and to show them I have more than what they might be thinking. Also slowly getting to try privileged task like manager’s roles or at least be able to be there with them and have a shoutout.
In this short time working f or Disney I already have been trained to do two more different roles than just being Front of the House in the store. I had a one and one conversation with my leader where I had the opportunity to express myself and explain her my personal career goal and ambitions. Since that, I have been trained to do Held of House and Host from one of the Dinning Restaurant of the Resort (Port Orleans).
I have been trusted to use one of the most important equipment (a merchandise gun) which I can use to receive every merchandise we get. This gun was not allow for CPs before, according to my leaders, this is the first time a gun is landed to a CP. CPs used to have to count the merchandise in a piece of paper and managers used to put the merchandise in the computer. So being able to use such a important equipment like the gun, makes me feel already like a leader within the CPs.
Another situation where the leader, coordinators, and manager makes me feel as one of them is when I close the register and make the deposit at night. For the store, it is a very important process which should never be messed up. There is a lot of procedures but I really enjoy doing it they know so very often I am one of the employee they pick to do it. Even though I have not been leading the store or a group of employees, at least I have been trusted to do tasks that if a CP mess up, will never be put in that position. As the article Transitioning into a Leadership Role: On-the-job Success Strategies for Newly Promoted Managers mention, in other words that you should always net work in your job. I have been trying to network in different areas of my workplace. One important place is the break-room where a lot of different people seats daily to eat.and of course, like going on break with your leader or coordinator to make conversations.
Last, Working for Disney can be very fun but the company takes very serious who is supposed to do what. So if you are hire for a certain position, its very hard to be shifted to something that they consider a higher position or even just the budget for the training can be an inconvenient. Remembering to keep yourself positive and consistent can be very helpful to achieve your personal goal. I have been craving to be in Front Desk and unfortunately they can not cross train me to that because CPs can not be cross trained to Front Desk. Really appreciating my leader for trying to help me get at least a shoutout for few days there so I experience that position. Yet I have not do it but shortly I will, they just have to find the best time and person to do it. This is part of what keeps me pushing to the maximum, to keep showing them that can I more then just a CP.

The first thing an employee should do is to get to know the people who he/she started working with, get to know them, and read their personality. Once the employee is familiarizing his/herself try to them your skills and how
