Weekly Journal #6

What a week!

One of my roommates ended up self-terming from the program.

I still haven’t finished my cashier training (not complaining).

I finally went to a water park and felt brave in a swimsuit…

The biggest challenge at work is keeping up the momentum and knowing how to pace yourself. There are roles within the food court that require you to be really quick. Others not so much. Depending on how busy it is, you will not have time to sit down and talk with every single guest. It’s especially difficult when we keep getting new CPs that are exposed to changes (almost everyday) and when we are short staffed. There are plenty of things I still don’t know and have a hard time remembering but we do help each other out. I’m grateful to have leaders/coordinators who know when to jump in and are helpful and understanding. This program, my work location and housing is not perfect but it will continue to be a learning experience. I’m excited to be starting classes, networking, making new friends and that I’m almost at the second month mark.
