At last, there is more to Disney World Theme parks than the parks themselves! In the winter here in Florida, you can still go to the water parks and mini-golf for some competitive fun. Having lived in New York my whole life, I can say this was definitely a new and weird experience. The lack of snow on the roads and golf path makes for a great outing when waiting in lines at Disney Parks becoming boring. This was also the week I was able to watch Jingle Bam, the Christmas special fire works at Hollywood Studios. I started making a list of things to do before I leave Disney after I got to Disney. Watching all the different fireworks became one of the to-dos. Originally it was for entertainment purposes but after appreciating all the hard work the “imagineers” (Disney’s back end technicians) put into the different displays and the illusion that something new can be discovered every time the fireworks set off, I am surely going to miss watching these spectacular shows every night.
This journal stuck out to me since I live in New York City as well. I’ve been to the Disney parks more then once but this will be a new experience for me as well to actually live in a state that’s hot during the winter. I didn’t actually think of a to-dos list before leaving and after reading this I will start one since it will be very helpful throughout my stay. There is so much to experience other than the rides and I look forward to experiencing the shows, fireworks and so much more.
