Research Project Presentation-NA

My research project is about the parallels between art nouveau illustrations and ukiyo-e art. I go into the history of ukiyo-e art leading up to the start of the art nouveau movement and I examine the aspects from ukiyo-e that art nouveau artists drew from when creating their pieces. I showcase some contemporary examples of art nouveau illustrations and ukiyo-e illustrations and make a case for how cultural exchanges such as the one between Japan and western Europe can lead to positive changes in the art and design of different cultures.

Definitely a big improvement from before. This time, I managed to understand your point of Art Nouveau illustrations and other aspects. The texts are easier to reader now and more visuals. I don’t have anything else to say. It’s a great presentation. Although you didn’t meet the 10 minute presentation requirement, I’ll let that slide because this is a great presentation.

    Hi Nicholas,
Your presentation is visually pleasing and it matches the topic you were discussing about. Your delivery and speech was great. The information was insightful. It’s really cool how you were able to compare and talk about the art style that art nouveau was inspired by.

The background you used matches well with your topic. Very clean visuals. I like that you talk about western art influencing anime covers. The henri poster for Robette Absinthe 1898 reminds me of Ukiyo-e and art nouveau they use on Dc comic covers.

The animations and atheistic of your presentation are beautiful! Your speech was also very clear. Very interesting history of Ukiyo-e art and its influence on Art Nouveau along with the events that happened during its Ukiyo-e art’s development.

Very nice presentation. Art Nouveau is one of my favorite art movements so it was interesting to learn how Ukiyo-e influenced the movement. Your voice and tone were perfect which kept my attention the entire presentation. I also like how you interacted with your slides, great job!
