Asking a Live Librarian Questions on Tuesday — Please read and respond

Hi Class,

To help you get deeper into your upcoming bibliography assignment, I am inviting one of the most amazing Librarians at our CitTech Library to join us on a Zoom session. Her name is Monica Berger, and she will be helping you with your research and with using the Library’s online resources.

The date and time I have set with her is Tuesday, April 12, starting at 10:00AM. Should would spend between 60 and 75 minutes on our class.

Please respond in a comment to this post and tell me if A) you can drop in — In Person — on Zoom during that time to ask her for help with your bibliography

or

B) if you prefer to write down your research questions and have me tell her.

The Library session can be recorded and viewed at your leisure, if necessary. I just want to let her know.

In my next post, I will suggest a brainstorming activity to get you started in your bibliography topic.

I work during the day on most weekdays so unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend the Zoom session in-person. However, some questions I would love to hear the answer to are:

What are some things that you wish more people knew about or would take advantage of when it comes to the resources the library offers (both online and in-person)?

Doing research can sometimes be overwhelming, what are your tips on figuring out the first steps to approach this process and where to start?

I will relate these questions to her!
And, if you have any specific questions about an area of interest — we can ask her how to best find the databases/resources to serve it.
Thank you for your timely response. : )

P.S. If anyone concurs with Tina’s ideas, lemme know here.

I will be on the zoom in person!

      Hi Abbey. That’s great.
Is it okay that we will be recording it? Not enough students have responded, so I will probably need to, and also ask Monica Berger’s permission as well. : ). You can also message me in private.
