Excerpt from a Life

I’m not the type of person who puts their work on display, I usually just show a teacher my work and wait for comments and make the changes that can improve my writing. But if I’m putting my work on display, people’s comments will help me improve my writing and become a better writer. In my literary narrative, I talked about my experience with writing and reading and where my literacy journey took me. When it came to came to reading I was surprisingly good at reading and pronouncing difficult words in a text or spelling them out. But I don’t think we can all relate to that, funny thing would be that when I was younger I thought of it as a talent. But when it came to writing, typing was the easiest thing but handwriting essays was difficult, not because of how to spell words but because of how my handwriting was. Sure it improved over time but it can still be improved on and I can start to learn how to write in script. But the point is, that I found some struggles with writing, and up to now, I’ve tried to improve on it and I still am.

First off, my thanks would go to many people but I’m only going to name a few that made the most impact. The path I have taken has led me different roads and some I had trouble deciding but thanks to these individuals I was able to head down the right path. The first person I would want to thank would be my mom, she made me aspire to continue my education after high school, for me I wanted to start going to work but she made me rethink that decision and told me that if you want to make money and become better, continuing your education would be beneficial for me. My father would be another person that I would thank because he taught me that by doing nothing you will achieve nothing, but if you work hard for what you want then many paths will open up for you. My teachers from afterschool taught me a lot as well, not just how to do my homework but that if you put some effort into what you want out of life then you will receive the most out of it and so far it’s exactly what I’ve done myself. These life lessons have taught me that if I’m secluded I won’t be able to achieve what I want so I have to be more open and have the ability to change. So this is my thanks to them and I will continue to thank them for years to come.

Lipogram No “O”- Life is Change

Life is change. A change all can’t expect but it’s a change that will arrive earlier than expected. I’m simply unprepared with life even with it changing. A schedule is what my life is run by. 4 classes a week and then making bread after class. My life has been paused. The last time I remember living life was when I was 4, life was good filled with peaceful vibes playing in the park with friends.

Life is unexpected and it takes turns. We  can’t receive what we want because it’s unfair. But we can get the best of it when we but in the work.
