In his talk, Prof. González will share his expertise in challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends in low carbon energy technologies for buildings including; solar photovoltaic for electricity, solar thermal energy systems, phase change materials for thermal storage, and combined heat and power systems. Case studies in New York City, the Caribbean, and California will be used to illustrate the deployment of these technologies as well as the market opportunities.

Pathway to Federal Careers Webinar Series

The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics (the Initiative), in collaboration with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), will be facilitating online workshops aimed at Hispanic students to provide information on careers in public service. Throughout National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Initiative and OPM will be hosting a series of webinars for current students and recent graduates on the Pathways Programs, Navigating USAJOBS, and Writing a Federal Résumé. If you have questions on how to apply for a federal job or are curious about working in the federal government, this webinar series is for you! Starting Tuesday, Sept. 17, this weekly webinar series will be held at 3 p.m. ET (noon PT). Sign up for each session at the links below.
  • The Pathways Programs for Students and Recent Graduates: The Pathways Programs are the only programs for students and recent graduates that can provide opportunities for permanent federal employment.
