Job description:
Entry level position for a current student or recent graduate in the Construction Management or Architectural programs, 2 year or 4 year.
We are a full service building materials supplier with a focus on contract sales of commercial doors, frames, and hardware; CSI division 8. We service the new construction industry as well as commercial interiors fit-out market in the NYC metropolitan area.
We are looking for people to learn the business from the ground floor applying the skills and knowledge from their training.
New hires will be given on the job training from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable experts in the industry. You will have an opportunity to work with the largest and most respected construction companies and architects in NYC.
Tasks will include plan reading and take-offs, creation of door schedules and hardware schedules using our project management software. Preparation of submittal packages and shop drawings.
Candidate should have outstanding computer skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong desire to succeed. A basic knowledge of building codes and NFPA 80 (fire door standards) would be considered a plus.
