This is the first motion blur photo I chose as a favorite. I like it because his face is completely in focus, which sort of provides a contrast to the rest of the photo. I also chose it because the umbrella creates cool shapes that add dynamics. His body is obscured by the umbrella making the photo somewhat mysterious and provides an action feel. He kind of looks like a vigilante with a shield, so bonus points.

This is my second favorite photo, it captures stop motion really well. Holding one card still adds a lot to the shot, it creates a wizard-like illusion. I think his body not being in focus was perfect because it didn’t need to be noticed as much as the hand and the cards. This is cool how the cards are falling so perfectly as if someone positioned them midair. It also feels like a story is being told, it reminds me of a dramatic freeze frame in an action movie when a major plot point just happened. Bonus for the face expression.
