This is one of my favorite photos from the studio lighting session we had in class, because of how beautiful the silhouette of the flowers and vase looks. The way the flowers are placed is quite interesting and I think it gives the photo that much more to look at. The direction of the lights are Back Lighting, this not only creates a silhouette of the object in the foreground but it makes the background brighter and whiter, also creating a high contrast.
