Subway Attack in New York City

Dear MECH faculty, CLTs, and COA

The gun violence in the Sunset Park station yesterday was horrible for our community. If you find students who are struggling with anxiety and terrified to come to Voorhees using the subway, please ask them to stay home until they feel safe. Meanwhile, you can record/live your in-person lecture or give any accommodation for study-from-home situations. Please emphasize that students will not be penalized for remote attendance. Also, if necessary, please advise them to contact the Counselling Center below.

We still have several months before the fall semester starts. There are some students who registered too much and will start dropping some. Please keep checking cunyfirst and see if someone drops a seat. Meanwhile, put your info on the enrollment wishlist.

Need to courses more? Enter your info on Enrollment Wish List:https://bit.ly/mech_enrollment_wishlist

If we have a lot of students who would like to take a class, we can open a new section after I found an instructor who can teach the class.

Don’t give up.
