Internship Onboarding

As I started off by emailing the General Manager of the internship I was given who is my supervisor onboard, to obtain an internship, I was ready for what seemed to be an interview.  I prepared for my interview by viewing their websites while learning all about what the non-profit organization does and looking into the founder of the company as well.

I had sat on a Google Meet for what seemed to be an online interview.  As I had introduced myself and was prepared to be asked questions, and without any questions being asked, I was already receiving the project details. At this point, I was thinking I already got my first internship.

I was nervous and dressed appropriately as I would for any interview and since it was online I did feel less nervous than I would be in person.  The first time meeting with the General Manager of the company was formal and very informative, in which I took some notes.

The key takeaway to any interview or meeting is always ready for the company and always having research at hand to engage and ask follow-up questions!
