My name is Jahiem Anthony Hamer . My whole family is either from Guyana or THE US. I’m a 6 feet African american male, 6’2 when I want to be exact. My favorite colors are red,grey,black and purple. Some activities I like to do are Math and playing video games. I even feel like I have the potential to be a pro-gamer if I wanted to. As for personality, I’m pretty much a chill, energetic guy with great vibes all depending on the company. I was born in Guyana but I actually moved to the states when I was 2 years of age. My first name Jahiem is a religious name and the name actually means “raised up” & now that I think of it I never thought to ask who actually came up with the name. I guess it never crossed my mind . And my last name “Hamer” is actually a dutch name that originates way back and it means hammer/blacksmith , and what’s crazy is when I was younger that’s how most who would pronounce it so I guess they weren’t totally wrong in a sense.
What an interesting blend of names! I like the meaning of JA HIEM because it gives encouragement and positive vibes: raised up. We might take this as encouragement for all our work this semester. I think we are all facing special challenges in this time of the pandemic. And being 6 ft 2 puts you way up there. I think there must be advantages to being heads above everyone else. Maybe you can tell us more advantages — or disadvantages — of being so tall. Pro-gaming hmmmm, I am sure those skills can be channeled into a future career. What is your major here at CTech?
