The intro in “I make video games. I won’t let my daughters play them is very catchy. This is because the writer is telling us that kids are more busy playing games and it can make them mentally ill by playing to much. The writer is trying to inform us that we should reduce the addiction to gaming because it harms the mental health. The writer is telling you are given five lives a day and every time you lose a game you lose a life and and you just keep on getting addicted to it. The writer is also incorporating storytelling. He didn’t want his own daughters playing video games that he designed because he knew it was not good it was just an addiction. The audience would have to be the parents and kids so they would know the consequences that video games can bring.
Esha: read carefully the Announcements for HW2 and HW 4. All students used William Siu’s op-ed for the mentor text analysis and we all discussed it afterwards and answered the questions together as a group.
NOW for HW 4 you must choose a different op-ed from the Unit 3 Assignment option to create an op-ed. You will do another op-ed mentor text analysis for HW4 but on a different op -ed from the list I provided in the Unit 3 Assignment.

What you have written here is actually HW 2 and it was due way back on April 23. I actually went over how to do this HW in class. I believe you were absent. In fact, Esha you have missed a lot of classes recently and that is why you are confused.
Here in this HW 2 you have NOT followed the instructsion. Here I want you to analyze the FORM and NOT the CONTENT, so your answers are not correct.
Furthermore, you still have to do HW 4 which is a mentor text analysis on an OPEN LETTER. You said in your proposal that you are creating an Open Letter for your Genre Project. So for HW 4 you will choose from the list of open letters that I put in the Unit 3 Assignment sheet in the section called Option to Write an Open Letter.
There is a whole list of Open Letters. Choose one and write a mentor text analysis using the guiding questions.
EVERYTHING IS IN ANNOUNCEMENTS. Read carefullly. And you should not be missing class. You are getting confused and you are not following the writing process that I am leading everyone to follow.
