This is my favorite picture because I used two flowers one that is very dominant in color and the other is more calm in color. I like this because of me focusing on the main flower and showing a blur behind it as if it’s telling a story and the lighting is great because it isn’t too harsh and the captures what is happening behind the dominant flower.

This is my #1 photo because I like the way the red flower is coming from the bottom. if I can put this photo into words then I would say that It’s almost like the red flower represents life and it is coming up from the darkness. The blue also gives the flower a nice contrast between the two colors.

I choose this as my best natural lighting photo because all my other pictures had her in the hallway with the light above/behind her creating a nice even light. I thought it was interesting to have the opposite and have the bar of light casing a light shadow her face and body.

This is one of the nicest shot I took out of the many. Rearranging the flowers to play around with the colors. I like how the frame came out and how the rose is kind of blurred out compared to the other bunch.

This is one of the best photos out of the batch I took. I love the contrast between the red petals and the black background, which creates a mysterious mood.

I choose this as my best photo because sometimes flash photography is alarming from how harsh the flash is. I like how Dara herself looks shocked/surprised.

Out of all the choices I’d have to say my favorite photographers are Davina and Daniel. I was drawn to the wedding section of photography because, I love every aspect of weddings from the planning of the event down to the confusion and excitement of the big day.As a designer when i came into taking a photography class in school i discovered i loved taking portraits and photographing events. Looking though Davina and Daniel’s website I love that they are a couple themselves and work as a team. I was drawn to this particular photo because it incorporates not only the two subjects but also the background scenery, while maintaining the emotion and relationship between them. When looking though photos i was looking for images that required photographers to be patient and take the time to construct a particular shot. Although weddings can be the perfect place for great pictures, i believe great photography should be about more than just a beautiful setting or a beautiful subject.

This photo shows a frozen image, even though it doesn’t seem like it. But the tennis ball is frozen in midair almost touching the ground.

For this Picture I had the model jump over the bridge.I had to set up the tripod for it not to be shaky.  I captured the jump frozen midair, without having a blurry effect.

Today’s assignment was to shoot motion and utilize the shutter speed, and panning techniques. I really like this photo because it froze the moment just as the dog was jumping to catch the ball and manipulates the light so that it feels like the end of the day. The only thing i think i would improve is increasing the iso to show a little more detail.
