The photo was taken with two light sources. I like this photo because of the reflection of the surface, which is showing the peanuts and the cup.

I took this picture at a low angle with one light source. The skittles were placed like if they were left opened. Looks like an ad picture.

Todays class was a fun experience we got in to groups and we took photos of food using different types of light settings.

Today’s class assignment was to photograph food. I brought in fruits and peppermint candies to shoot. Out of all my photos these were my favorite shot with the black background. Seeing them together now i realize they go together as a series.  The thing i love the most about these shots is the dark and eerie fall vibe i get from them. Food photography is my new favorite.

I enjoyed the effect that both of these images had which was the reflection of the pastries. The lighting for both were different. The lemon tart is more of a dark feeling especially with the burned edges of the whipped cream. As for the cupcakes is more fun and messy based on the sprinkles. There was two lightings which one was on the back which makes the effect in front of the cupcakes.

This is the one of the photo I liked, I wanted a person to hold the candy because I wanted to do more. I didn’t want the candy to be standing still or be put in the table. So I asked one of my classmates to hold the candy in his hand because I wanted to test out new things, during this photoshoot.

This is my number 1 photo because I like the placement of the candy on the plate, it gives it a fun feel.

These apples are the highlight of this semester.Fully in frame, very little negative space and, the water droplets.

I chose to make this set up, so we could see some repetition and pattern making with the cupcakes.

My goal was to make the sweets as juicy as possible for the shoot. The Hot Dog candy was fun to work with as well as the tiny candy cake with the colors used. The lights I used is side light and one back angle light. The Hot Dog Candy I had used a reflector shinning on to the Hot Dog.
