I am a big fan of baklava and I can honestly say this is one of the best ones that I’ve tried. Baklava is made with layers of filo dough and chopped nuts with either syrup or honey. from ones that I’ve tried before its usually too sticky or soggy, but this one had a perfect syrup to pastry ratio. The bakery had a beautiful décor with tons of traditional Greek pastries and sweets. I found the layout a little weird. I didn’t like the fact that all the desserts were out in the open. Even though some of the stuffed is covered with plastic I still feel like it should be more monitored. I also liked the seating area outside. If I lived closer to the area I would definitely visit Artopolis.

The restaurant that I work at used to order deliveries from this bakery for more than 8 years, unfortunately they stopped doing delivery services 1 and a half years ago. Throughout the time, I have tried almost every single product that they produce, from their breads, cakes and specialty cookies to their signature baklavas and decadent cakes. I have never visited their location until our field trip to Astoria. When I found out about the visit to this location I was very exited and at the end of our tour I bought a lot of my favorite sweets, when I brought them to my work and tasted them with my coworkers, we all got very upset because we don’t have a chance to get deliveries from them anymore. Everything was so good, so fresh and delicious. from my own experience, I only can say that their quality got even better.
