My name is Da’Cari and my major is Business and Marketing. I plan on using this major to learn more about how major corporations work and am hoping to also use this information for my own gain regarding personal business ventures. I chose to pick up some classes from the Hospitality and Management major because of my recent interest in the kitchen and learning how to cook on my own. That being said I plan on hoping to pick up a culinary arts class for better knowledge of cooking and just to have fun in college. I have no idea what these classes are going to offer me but upon hearing about the programs they offer for their students they have piqued my interest and I will continue to learn more about them to see if they match my goals for my future.
- My work experience consists of (In order from past to current)
- SYEP – Summer Youth Employment Program
- CareerReady WLG
- American Eagle Sales Ambassador
- Apple Sales Specialist
My only genuine career goal is to be able to speak multiple languages and use them for business/personal. In my job, I am able to speak with people from around the globe, and I try to have whoever I work with enjoy and appreciate my expertise. What may be a business transaction for example turns into a friendly conversation that lasts for however amount of time. I guess I can say I like to be hospitable and think that it is important to be hospitable with a cause; working or in general life. Saying that I find being able to be hospitable a skill and another skill I can give myself is good adaptability because I feel I am able to connect with most people and create a comfortable environment.
