Journal 12 – Webinar

The webinar I watched was actually at my internship at the 125th street BID and it was demonstrating how a business can set up a submission form on Submittable.com . Submittable is a cloud- based submissions manger where you can accept, review and make decisions on the submissions or any digital content you receive from the public. The webinar was by the International Downtown Association (IDA) and it was for their Awards Submission. The women on the webinar was talking and showing us how to navigate through Submittable. She was going over how to make a form and then how to edit and customize it. One of the first things you want to do is title your form and add in some information, a description to best define what it is. You want to make sure the information this is clear so that the person knows it’s the correct form. More information that was discussed was the customizing  part, in your form you can add a text box, a file upload box, an URL link or even a drop down tab. In addition, you can even make your form sharable or private for a specific target audience. After this webinar was over that BID decided to try out Submittable and so far it is working well for us.
