Finalized research question: What can the US government do in order to protect It citzen from mass shooting even under a pandemic?
How I became Intrested: I became interested in my research question because as someone who watches the news daily Its just tragic to see how mass shootings are still going regardless of a Pandemic here in the U.S. In my thoughts, I always get upset and sad at the fact how mass shootings just became one of the norms here in the U.S. when it really shouldn’t be. For instance, when I researched I came across all the mass shootings in 2020 and 2021 and the fact that there have been 3 mass shootings in one week is absolutely unbelievable It shows how even under pandemic American citizens are still not safe. Not only that but there have been about 20+ mass shootings in this year alone already. My condolences go out to every single family out there that has been affected or has been a part of mass shootings because If I was In their shoes I know I would want some sort of control or at least help from the government to prevent these terrible shootings. Now the answers and information I expect to find in response to my research question are ways the government could help control these mass shooting problems or how we could have a gun ban on assault weapons or even all guns.
The question looks good to go. The one think I’m not clear on is how the pandemic figures into your question. Would the government be doing something different now than it would during “normal” times?
