Developing Research Questions

The social justice issue I have decided to use is racial injustices. Racial injustice doesn’t have to be about slavery or about discrimination, it’s about discrete aggression and the unfair conditions and situations that colored people have to go through. People like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd experienced these social injustices and lost their lives because of the prejudice and stereotypes that go on. Racism has a history in the United States and the impact of racism is still there today even if it isn’t as big as it was in the past, you can see in the workplace, media, education, and our every day life. Now more than ever black lives matter protesters have been roaming the streets of the United States trying to fight for the rights and trying to get justice for the lives that have been lost. These activists fight for the mental and physical well-being of the colored race and they fight and vocalize their opinions to help reduce racism Within the United States.

Questions:

What impact do racial injustices have on people of color?

What are the experiences of black employers at work ?

What are some ways we can fix this issue?

    I love this question:
What are the experiences of black employers at work ?
I think this is specific and can be productive for your research. You might even ask, what does racism look like in ________? Or what is the experience of black employees in _____________? And then fill in the blank with one area that you want to research. Pick one area of employment.
As you say, racism in not always the big stuff, its the everyday micro-aggressions that you can not quite put your finger on. And it is worth thinking about what this looks like in a given job or field.
