No doubt at all that the Desert Tarantula has an extremely freighting appearance to some. They are, in fact, the largest spider in the world. Despite their large size and itchy features, Desert Tarantulas are harmless and actually try to avoid humans. They live deep underground in burrows and usually hide out during the day. Dessert Tarantulas also wait for nightfall to hunt their prey and to mate. Males genuinely live anywhere from 10 to 11 years and die after mating. The female Desert Tarantula, however, has lifespan twice as long as the males. She can live up to 25 years old and can mate and lay eggs serval times in her life.
