Hi my name Diante Carr I am from Harlem, NY I’m in my second semester at City Tech, my major is Marketing Management and sales. I enrolled into City Tech because this was the best option out of the schools I got accepted to as far as location. Some of my hobbies are gaming, music and YouTube, My favorite game currently is Warzone and my favorite album is die lit by Playboi carti. My High school English timeline started out very good in the ninth grade I was exceling with the tied paragraph getting better at it and then we stop using it and this where the trouble began. My essays began to struggle when I reach the tenth grade I began to lose my writing structure and it kept on declining after that.

I took this class this semester to help me learn how to write an essay again and to improve on my writing technique. This class is also important because I need to be writing proficient in order to take and complete most of my marketing classes in order to move in and get my degree.

Being in college right now is supper hard for me because I am trying to get fasfa done and I seem to can’t because my circumstances are different. I would like to have it done this week because I don’t want to get behind in money wise with college. I would love to graduate with no debt it would mean a lot to me. I am also going to school and paying for classes where I only like 2 of my classes and learn in only two of them which is English and Black Theater. I would love a mentor for college at less for the first year because sometimes I need a little push and that push is amazing because the outcome is what I vision.  My goal this semester is to pass with 80% or better.

Hey, my name is Muhammad Javaid I am a Pakistani American. I am an 18-year old I am from Brooklyn NewYork I am an athlete I graduated from fort hamilton high school in 2020 half of my semester in highschool was also online I graduated online I am a freshman at city tech college I am a little nervous but I am adapting pretty good something that I noticed is difference between high school and college is each class is longer and there are fewer classes in a day. my high school English class was pretty good some of the books that we read were great gatsby, mice and men, Frankenstein, and many more we also read Shakespeare poetry there were interesting stories I like to read books with interesting stories.

The reason I chose to come to city tech is that I was interested in technology and I like that they have a wide variety of majors to choose from it is also not very far away from where I live my major in city tech is business of fashion design in this major I will be learning about modern-day fashion and how the fashion evolve over time also I will be learning about business and much more amazing stuff, I am very excited for it I chose this major because I like to learn about the fashion also about different cultures and how they like to dress and express themself and I also like to learn about business. So far my experience in city tech is good I like the college and hope to work hard in the future

I took this class because I want to improve my reading and writing mainly I want to improve my reading because when I read books sometimes I don’t understand what the author is saying so would like to improve that and be more engaged in the book rather than bored and also I want to learn a lot of stuff from the books so that’s why I need to improve my reading skills.
