The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
These are really dark. You need some kind of a light to work with. In this case, it looks like you intended split light for the author portrait and then lit the loss of a family member from below. These lighting styles could work but these images are really underexposed.
