The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
Funny that we call the light you used in both shots short light. Such is the limits of labels.
In the author photo, I see a bit of wide angle distortion. You may be working in a tight space but do whatever you have to do to move the camera back. Wide angle focal lengths are not flattering.
