The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
You make a great point that Bey investigates history in ways to make it resonate with us today.
Thinking about Weems’s Kitchen Table project, you note it was shot in 1990. Thirty years ago. Sadly, it seems very up-to-date.
That said, I do think that Bey and Weems want to change the world, not just capture it.
