From the images my classmate, Jessica Zhang, sent, this image caught my attention as I recognize it as a shadow puppet. I loved how she was able to demonstrate her shadow puppet clear even from a small but far distance, unlike mine. I was having difficulty re-creating the shadow yet is mostly focus on the position of the hand. I enjoyed working on with hands, did made me think a lot of hand movement and how it can portray or express a message.
You did a good job of recreating the spirit of Jessica’s photo.
She held her hand a little further from the wall and the result was that the shadow was not that dark. In studio photography, we need to think not just about the distance from the light to the subject but also between the subject and the background.
