Erick_Final version_Surprise Leave a reply For the final version, i took the most important elements from the other designs to create this one. I kept the big eyes and mouth. I also use my face to create a feeling of motion and hands.
Sketches Leave a reply This is my first sketch, as you can see, the main idea is to show with exaggeration the effects of surprise on the face using different tones of black and different sized for some parts like the eyes and the lips. Second attempt after having in mind a rough pencil sketch. Here, my intention was to keep the design cleaner, and think i achieved the communication of the emotion. However, i can say that i was not able to get any motion here. For this sketch, i started to give the design more motion with my face in a way of waves going from inside to outside, and exaggerating things a little more, eyes more opened, same as the mouth.
Erick Selfie_Mood Leave a reply The emotion of surprise can generate different facial expressions, but some are common to almost all people. For example, in my case when I’ve been surprised I always open my eyes as much as I can as well as my mouth, and I always bring my hands to my cheeks, and a shiver that makes my skin goosebumps completely.I also feel like an explosion of energy or waves that go from the center of my body outwards that puts all my senses on alert.
Project 3: Selfiemotion Step 4: Deliver 1 Reply Mood: Fear – I chose to use the darkest tones of my selfie to compose this image. I wanted to keep the theme of fear present in the contrast so that it complimented the overall mood of the project. I placed emphasis on the eyes as thats where we show fear first, i then used my mouth in a open movement to depict a silent scream. I used black strips over the eyes to simulate hiding in the dark closet trying to escape your fear.
Project 3: Selfiemotion Step 2: Sketches Leave a reply I had the thought of adding the motion of eyes going up out of your head to depict sudden fear like a jump scare i also used crosses over the mouth to try and depict the silence when you are so scared you cant speak this was my first attempt at focusing on the eyes to depict fear and using the lips to depict the silence or the fear of making a sound.
