In the article “Is Google Making us Stupid” I agree with some point that the writer exposed. However I think that even if Google gives us the response to basically whatever we want to know it doesn’t necessarily need to be negative. This search engine allows us to find information faster than anything else, and gives us the power to learn more, and discover more things at the same time. For me Google has never been a tool for laziness, on the contrary I use it to find articles or information that helps me to find the answers I’m looking for. It is true that there are people that might use it for plagiarism, but that is not always the case. Therefore I agree very much with Nicholas Carr when: “For me, as for others, the Net is becoming a universal medium, the conduit for most of the information that flows through my eyes and ears and into my mind.” since I see this search engine as a world of information and probabilities to learn new things in every aspect.
Dear Linneth, this is a very thoughtful response! Thanks for sharing!
