One concept I’ve learned about is developing a mindset for class. It’s really important because setting up a mindset develops ideas of a certain topic.

Yup! A growth mindset is definitely important to develop! Knowing that even though you may not understand something right now, you can always learn and get better, is super important

One concept that is important while in college is to have some type of healthy outlet which if it means joining a club that is fun for you, or having a good time management system that allows you to improve on yourself while being able to study effectively.

One concept that could be useful in college is perseverance because it allows you to tackle something even though it’s difficult.

Perseverance is so important! As they always say- if you try 1ce and you don’t succeed, try, try again πŸ™‚

A concept I believe is important to me is mind-set. I believe that with the right mind set and attitude you can accomplish anything in life. Having the right and healthy mindset in college is very important to me. I want to have a positive mind set to become the best nurse and get great grades. Push myself to do better. It’s important to me because, I am the only one that can and have control of how I think. If I believe in myself and push myself to become the best, no one can take that from me; and I will achieve all I want to accomplish. I have learned, that if you believe and follow good guidance, you have control on how you want things to happen. Many people will not believe in you and will discourage you to not do many things but, if you think the opposite and put your mind to it no one stops you.

A concept I believe is important is having a positive and mature mind set for college. We all know college isn’t a breeze so there will be times where you have to have patience and remain hopeful. It’s easy to want to give up but if you have a strong mindset you can over come anything. Your mentality is important because it shapes how you think and how you react.

    • Aneeza Hussain

I absolutely agree with you LeAnn! From your reflection, I can tell you have a Growth Mindset! Great Job!

Based on what we shared the concept I believe is important for a college student is being flexible and open- minded towards things. The mindset of growth is one aspect and I believe i am receptive to that as a college student, because I believe change is constant in a daily life.

    • Ngozi Okonkwo

Definitely! Having a growth mindset is sooo important! If there is something that you are currently struggling with, that doesn’t mean you can’t grow or learn. You can *always* get better at doing something, and having that mindset is very important to academic success.

  7. Hannah Collazo

A concept I feel is important is consistency. It’s really important to stay constant with your schoolwork even when it’s challenging because it keeps you from falling behind. Even studying 15 minutes a day is a way to stay constant that isn’t intimidating. Trying to be consistent can really help your mindset because completing tasks gives you more motivation and momentum to keep trying to grow as a student.

    • Ngozi Okonkwo

Yes, this is so true! Consistency is super important. And doing a little bit every day can go a looong way

  8. Geovany Flores

a concept that I think is important is to never give up and that if in any given case I do not understand something ask without some fear because without questions there are no answers.

    • Aneeza Hussain

Yes! Geovany you have a growth mindset. & I agree with you on asking questions, you won’t find your answers if you don’t ask. Great point!
