Vanessa and her trusty pet Raven named Vi awaken for another day. They continue the journey through the trials granted by the omnipotent Grandmaster. Vanessa despites the Grandmaster and thinks he is some powerful jerk that control the elements around other for his own entertain. On the other hand Vi praises the grandmaster for his rewards at the completion of an trial and the knowledge he give throughout. Vi wishes she can tell the grandmaster how thankful she is but can only commutate with Vanessa telepathically. Vi begs her to pass on the message but Vanessa never complies. Even though the duo has to opposite opinions on the grandmaster their friendship is so wielded together there bond could never be broken. Trials are weekly and are mandatory for every pair that lives in Lost Oasis. The rules in Lost Oasis is that nobody can do everything alone and is assigned a partner. Residents are allowed to have relationships outside of the duo but that partner must be top priority. Some duos are the love each other like Vanessa and Vi and some duos can stand each other like Toro and Tonya.Β If you and your partner don’t get along there’s nothing you can do about it both are stuck with one another. The Grandmaster’s penalty for not completing his trials is not death but declining in Lost Oasis’ strict caste system. This caste system has three tiers the low, mid and high grounds. Depending on the performance of a duo during the Grandmaster’s trials they can grow in tiers. If two duos are both in the high ground tiers they can chose bond and create a quad. Toro and Tonya really like Vanessa and Vi the feeling is mutual in both duos. Tonya and Toro might not get along but they work well and both have there heads on the goal to became a quad with Vi andΒ Vanessa.

Interesting enough world, but I don’t see a full story here with a beginning, an inciting incident, and choices that lead to different endings. Look at the Red Riding Hood example in Resources, especially the visual/concept map for a better idea of how to turn this into Interactive Fiction.
