"Game On, Python!"

Baldwin – Mohammad Mahee

James Baldwin is trying to say even though we might live in a one place, live our lives and looking at from only one point of view, the world is much larger, that there are more things we haven’t discovered. And, that you don’t have do what everyone thinks is the way to do something, you have the right to choose your own journey and how you pursue it. “The world larger”, I think it means ,the more you realize and learn about the world, the more your curiosity about the world will grow. And, question things and not just do or know things without understanding it.

Secondly, the Guardian article speaks the facts about how the educational system is controlled in a way thats just storing information for students and doing what they are told to do for their classes instead of letting students really exploring their curious minds and understanding them. When I was a kid, I was only told to be memroing and storing information in my mind and when the exam comes just answer the question. I didn’t enjoy being in school when I was in my country, when your curiosity is suppressed and only memorize and do what you’re told to do to pass the classes.  Baldwin is asking us to not limit ourselves to the things we are only told or know to, but to let your curiosity explore the world, this way its your path that you find best to find beyond what you want to discover than what you are only limited to do by system or policy, etc. This relates to the educational systems a lot which impacts many young student that don’t get explore their curious minds and only follow what they are told to do so.

Thirdly, my experience in the digital world is what helped explore my curious thoughts, I always had the chance to explore to the questions I want to find answers to and discover other related things that can lead to a bigger idea, issues or whatever I am looking for. Being able to find answers to your questions with just few clicks has given many the opportunities to learn and understand the world better and be part of something bigger in their lives. In fact, that’s how the world is meant to progress, without the questions there would never be an answer or solution. Asking questions is what leads to bigger discoveries, ideas and success in our lives.

I liked your second paragraph because I had the same experience in high school. I never enjoy the time that I spent there. The teachers I had always made me feel stupid for the questions i asked and by the time it killed my curiosity to ask any question. That is the point of almost all school, just be prepared for the test and remember everything that the teacher told you in class and no one cares if there is anything else you want to know. Everything is about a passing grade and not really about understanding. I also liked how you said in the third paragraph that you can find answers to your questions in a few clicks and it gave people many different opportunities. I feel like because we can access the internet now, we can google whatever we want and we will find answers right away and no one is going to be able to kill you curiosity.
