As Jennifer Campbell mentioned in her article Digital Literacy, ” Not only that, but digital literacy allows us to even read documents that were in one language, to read them in another.” 

I believe online classes will be the best place to start with my own DNL. Unlike to start on a random social media. The online classes will help me to improve my writing skills. Also, teaches me how to use the software I need. For example, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, PowerPoint, and etc. Just like when I start with a new videogame. There’s always a tutorial for the beginner to teach me how to play. Same as online classes. Teachers and students will help each other and share their ideas of DNL. When students do their homework and turn them on the internet.  In addition, this world is developing at a terrible speed. If we don’t follow the steps of the era. We will be left behind by the era.  Like Holly Engels said in her article My Digital Literacy Experiences, “ Technology has already made such an impact on the way we teach children and it is only going to change more than we will probably ever be able to predict.” So what I worry about is do I have enough ability to do a great DNL job. However, to start with me alone on social media.  Why didn’t I start the DNL with my classmates and teachers? People can do better when they work with someone who’s familiar with.

So what I had learned about the DNL when I was ninth grade in middle school. That was an ENL(English as a new language) class. My teacher used to teach us how to write and read on the google docs and how to share each other. It’s pretty similar to what I have done in college now., but on a higher level. That we are using Microsoft Word to do most of our homework. Finally, my last question is how do you think about DNL, and is DNL matter in your life?
