Overview

We have created flyers to inform our audience to be prepared for the Coronavirus as well as  potential future viruses. Since most of our audience are Hispanic, we have created flyers in English and Spanish languages to ensure your information will be delivered to the Hispanic community. Our goal from creating these flyers is to encourage the audience to take immediate action in their response to the dilemma before the situation deteriorates.

We will be handing out the flyers we’ve created thus our audience won’t need directions to access parts of our project. I believe our project will have a big impact on preparedness as we include in our project that people seem to not care about the Coronavirus which led us to report over 40,000 daily cases. We provided some statistics showing the numbers of cases in the past few months which shows the carelessness of a large-scale of people living in the US. One of the reasons we chose flyers as our project, is because it is the simplest way to reach our audience as well as ensure that our information is in their hands. We hope our project will have the desired impact on how we should be prepared for the Coronavirus as well as potential future viruses.

Overview of the Project

We created a website called “Black Lives Matter”. We went beyond research to inform our audience more about violence and racial discrimination. Some specific questions will be broadcasted on that website including: why is it three or four times more so for the black community as opposed to other people? Why does the black community get less access to health care & government benefits? And finally, Why African Americans have long been the subject of racism and police brutality? The best means this website is to inform that here in America people shouldn’t do any injustice to those who are colored.Transparency should be the rule at all times until the people’s trust in the police is restored, even if it should take decades.

It is an online store where the audience will be able to order customizable products with black lives matter design/art and symbols.

It has the components of several pages those are called Home, Blog, Forum, and members. When users will visit the site they will be able to see the Homepage that contains general information and will get a brief idea of what the site is about? On the Blog page, they will be able to see more details on racism/discrimination and police brutality as they will see updated post information weekly about racial inequality in justice systems. Forum page will give them the ability to create and edit any post. Also, they will be able to post comments, pictures, and videos as social media’s impact on cases of Police Brutality. Most importantly the Shop page where users can order customize a t-shirt, mug caps, and many more. And Last, the Members page will display the current member list, and of course, if anyone wants to sign up to become a member they can do that through this page.

The impact on this project will have if we “go live” on July 1st is that people will feel more defended, exceptionally the black community since they are the one who doesn’t get benefits like the healthcare system then any other racial group.

We are reaching out to our audience by posting/sharing the link to social media and targeting New York City residents mostly young black communities as they are frequently becoming victims of violence and racial discrimination by policies. However, as most of our audience speak multi-languages we will try to use translators or interpreters for people who have a hard time understanding civic law.
