I worked on a sign for a dessert shop this week. It was a challenge for me because they wanted it to be girly and cute, and I’ve never done something like this. The first thing I did was to do a lot of research on the store sign for dessert. I chose a cute script font for the name of the store. I used a pink color for the background. Then I added some girly patterns on it. After I showed it to the client, she said she likes it. I was happy about that. Then we started making the sign. Because I am still not familiar to the FlexiSign, so I did my design on Illustrator. Then I had to transferr the file to the FlexiSign. I made sure everything is outlined so the machine can cut out the shape on the vinyl. When I was doing the cut out, my boss stopped me and told me that I had to make the letters thicker. Otherwise when it would be difficult to peel off the letters from the vinyl and there would be a chance of destroying the letters. So I went back to my computer and increase the stroke size of the letters. My last responsibility for this job is to peel of the letters from the vinyl carefully.
