We’re using these files to make custom “grass” brushes, which we can use to make a realistic, organic edge between the subject (the smiling statue) and the landscape background. Custom brushes are a great way to emulate/bring out organic textures, from grass and hair to dirt and wear. (Here’s Adobe’s overview of the brush tool.)
