My first example of my inspiration is Jim Carrey. There’s not much to say other than Jim Carrey is my all time favorite actor. I particularly liked him in the movie Liar Liar (1997). The film is not only a classic movie I enjoy but it’s also a movie that tells a story about the timeless theme of honesty (or lack of) and how it can affect oneself and those around them.
For the plot of my first short film project, I chose a concept that was heavily based on Liar Liar but still different. I was in the film where I played what I consider an unlikeable main character just like Jim Carrey’s character. I obviously couldn’t light a candle to Carrey’s unpredictable goofs and malleable facial expressions but I had fun with it and am proud of how it turned out.
