This piece effectively captures the essence of color grading and its storytelling power in filmmaking. The examples of iconic films like Blade Runner and Dune help illustrate the deliberate choices behind color palettes. The conversational tone and call to action at the end engage the reader, making them more mindful of colors in film. The narrator makes the whole experience to feel like an actual film or introduction to a film.
I like how many clips you have used in your video to prove your point. I know first hand experience that this work takes a large amount of time and can appreciate the amount of effort you put. However, I would have liked to have learned more about the topic in general. I think there was a lot of visuals but not enough explanation and elaboration.
I really enjoyed your presentation; it was beyond anything I’ve seen a student submit for an assignment and made me feel like I just watched a movie trailer for the next biggest movie of the century. My only feedback is in order to go into detail for your research question; you would have to provide more text and voice-over. I almost didn’t mind that there was little to no text/talking, but the voiceover was great. The visuals really did for me, not only providing a foundation for your presentation but also setting examples of the variety of colors used to convey emotions. Great work! I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Hey what’s good! I really loved the presentation from the jumpstart, I myself am a fanatic of Bladerunner 2049 and never really though of seeing some clips of the film in our class but I still think about this presentation and will continually keep thinking about this project since I do understand the importance of color grading. A video/film/short film really relies on two MAIN components, that is is sound and color; you dive into the world of color grading and executed the emphasis of color in general symbolizing themes and moods. WELL DONE!
This presentation itself is a cinematic masterpiece! Very visually appealing. I would suggest starting your presentation with a verbal description of your topic then providing the trailer almost like it’s the perfect example of what you just described.
I like the approach you went with for your presentation as you explained the effects the colors had on the movies and the information you gave was simple and clear however I wished you had changed the order of the points as I believe giving the viewer the information on colors beforehand would have made it more engaging for the viewer as they now understand and have something to look out for.
I really enjoyed your presentation;b it was something completely out side of the box and I loved every part of it. I also loved the choice of movies’ used to represent your message. The music was also perfect. I liked the AI voice but I’d prefer for you to use your own voice.
