The things I’ve found that interest me the most are abstract works, especially ones of imagination. My mind always bounced around scary and odd creatures and objects which give me the most comfortable drawing. I also really enjoy drawing buildings and places that are isolated from the world. The place would mainly be like beaches to houses on cliffs which I find amusing. In my drawings, I like to use ink pens all the way to charcoal with white ink. I primarily use charcoal because I like the mystery of how each piece will come out different whereas pens are precise to the sketch. In the sketch, I made for the week 2 sketch I use pencil and charcoal to create abstract yet imagery in my pieces. My inspiration for this week’s sketches draws from my American history class where we are studying the indigenous history of the Americas. The last piece is probably my best one where I drew homage to their style of pottery combined with visual imagery of a human face. My personal visual signatures are creatures with big fangs and rough skin with many holes on their body. Another signature would be the fact that I grew up with things surrounding them. Visual signatures that also use and also when I’m creating vector drawings I really enjoy the hard corners and sharper shapes. Most of my new drawings are vector illustrations. I stopped drawing traditionally and now I’m getting back into it. Also, the drawings I started again are mainly charcoal drawings.
