For this sketchbook assignment, the first page of my sketchbook, I created two rows where I practiced creating my own line work and my own shapes for my composition. The first row I was experimenting, but my second row I leaned more towards having my lines symmetrical. After, I drew the sun in the sky, but used my abstract linework to make the sun more interesting and have texture. The background contains worms rising from the ground as though it is morning when the sun first rises. My second composition is more imaginary as I drew the stems rising from the ground with rocks surrounding them on the floor. I also made the clouds in the sky more wavy and dark. I tried to not make the clouds give the illusion of night time by having the background white.
