The illustration was created by Benjamin Marra for a film called “The motivation” where it depicts a skater in static motions that make a similar picture like Vitruvian Man. The poster looks to be rendered in photoshop after being sketched in ink pens.

Benjamin used motion to depict the way the action is achieved. The action of the kickflip is illustrated where the skateboard is static while the man is in various static motions that show its movement looks.

The effectiveness of this piece is how it shows movement while it’s being a solid picture like a Vitruvian Man.

The technique I find the most interesting was the movent and the shading and lighting I really enjoy how he uses the background color to add lighting to the skates side lighting.
